Do I need the Sharp app if I already have the Sharp Health Plan app?

Yes. The Sharp app is a patient portal that will allow you to manage your health care online, while the Sharp Health Plan app allows you to access your health plan information online. For the best patient and member experience, we recommend both apps.

Is there a fee to have an online account?

No. Your online account is a free service.

What are the technical requirements to use an online account?

You need a phone, tablet or computer with internet access and an up-to-date browser, such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox. On mobile devices, we recommend using the Sharp Health Plan app.

What is your privacy policy?

Our terms and conditions of use, website privacy policy and mobile app privacy policy are publicly available. Our privacy and security measures are in compliance with federal and state laws.


Getting started

How do I create an online account?

To create a Sharp Health Plan online account:

  1. On mobile, download and open the Sharp Health Plan app.
    On desktop, open a new browser window and go to the login screen.
  2. Choose “use activation code” if you got an activation code from us in the mail. If you don’t have an activation code or it expired, choose “Create an account.”
  3. Enter your ZIP code and date of birth.
  4. Verify your contact information.
  5. Create your username and password.

How do I get the Sharp Health Plan app?

Download the app in the App Store for iPhone and iPad or get it in the Google Play Store for Android devices.

Do I need an activation code to create an online account?

No. If you don’t have an activation code, you can select “Create an account” from the login screen. Then follow the instructions to verify your membership.

Where can I update my personal information?

When logged in, go to your account menu and select Contact information. You’ll be able to update your mailing address, home and mobile phone numbers, email address, preferred first name and more.

I’m a new member. When should I create my online account?

Welcome to Sharp Health Plan! We recommend creating your online account as soon as you get your activation code in the mail. The activation code will expire 45 days after we send it to you.


Troubleshooting

I lost my activation code, or it expired. What should I do?

If you lose your activation code or it expires, select “Create an account” from the login screen. Follow the instructions to verify your membership and finish setting up your online account.

My activation code does not work. What should I do?

As a security measure, your activation code expires after 45 days and is no longer valid after the first time you use it. Select “Create an account” from the login screen, then follow the instructions to finish setting up your account.

What do I do if I get locked out of my online account?

To unlock your online account, please contact Customer Care at the phone number listed on the back of your member ID card.

How do I delete my online account?

We strongly encourage all members to keep your online account, even if you no longer have benefits through Sharp Health Plan. If you decide to proceed with deactivating your online account, you can do so by logging in and going to Security settings from your account menu. At the bottom of the page, you will see a link for account deactivation.
